My name is Emily Tagesen, MS, CSCS, and I am pursuing my PhD in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2018 and my master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University in May 2020. Currently, my research focuses on acute responses to resistance exercise and skeletal muscle damage in premenopausal women throughout the different phases of the menstrual cycle and between different contraception statuses. I am working with Dr. Adam Jajtner and my research focuses on the immune and inflammatory responses to various types of exercise and recovery.
