Faith Brown M.S., SCCC, CSCS, USAWL1-SP is a Ph.D. candidate in Education specializing in Interdisciplinary Studies at George Mason University. She is also a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University working directly with Women’s Basketball and Volleyball. Her current research interests are comprehensive athlete load monitoring including the use of microsensor technology, force plates and subjective questionnaires. As a researcher, her goal is to fill gaps in the literature involving human performance and load monitoring, identify metrics and trends that are likely to indicate future performance decline, and provide evidence-based insight and solutions that practitioners can easily implement. As a daily practitioner, she utilizes the knowledge gained through her research to identify and manage risk and prescribe and adjust training loads for her athletes. Faith also competes in the sport of CrossFit and in her downtime enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Sammie.
