Dr. Hiroshi Arakawa (born 1981) received his Ph.D. in sports science from the University of Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan) in 2009. His dissertation focused on the biomechanics of vertical jumping and muscle-tendon complex.
Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he held the position of Research Scientist at the Japan Institute of Sports Sciences (Tokyo, Japan) from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, he joined the International Budo University (Chiba, Japan) as Assistant Professor, and in 2016, he was promoted to Associate Professor, and in 2021, he was appointed Professor.
His current research interests are in sports biomechanics and exercise sciences, with a particular focus on biomechanics and motion analysis of resistance exercise movements.
