Dr. Mitchel Magrini, PhD, CSCS, NSCA-CPT is an assistant professor in the department of Exercise Science and Pre--Health Professions at Creighton University. He earned his Masters’ degree in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in strength and conditioning from the University of Colorado– Colorado Springs. Dr. Magrini then moved to Oklahoma State University where he earned a Ph.D. in Health, Leisure and Human Performance.
Dr. Magrini’s primary research interest is focused on investigating the impact of age on neuromuscular function and how optimized exercise interventions may improve neuromuscular performance, reduce fall risk, and improve physical performance in aging populations and persons with neurological disease. Additionally, Dr. Magrini’s research interests aim to examine the effects of different resistance training modalities on neuromuscular performance.
