John Paul Anders, PhD, CSCS, CISSN is a Postdocotral Research Fellow at The Ohio State University. He received his PhD at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. His research interests focus on how the body adapts to acute and chronic exercise. Specifically, John Paul’s interests include: the influence of acute, fatiguing exercise on neuromuscular and cognitive function; how exercise training can enhance resiliency and mitigate the neuromuscular and cognitive detriments associated with fatigue; and the influence of nutritional supplements in optimizing performance and facilitating exercise training adaptations. Additionally, John Paul recruits male and female participants to elucidate potential mechanisms of sexual dimorphism in his research interests. Prior to his doctoral program, John Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science Education and a Master of Science in Kinesiology as a first-generation student at The Ohio State University.
