Blaine Lints, MS, CSCS is a 3rd year PhD student at the University of South Carolina. After joining the US Navy and graduating SEAL training in 2013, he embarked on two deployments to the Middle East, witnessing the vital role of human performance in mission success and operator well-being. Driven by his passion, Blaine pursued a Master of Science in Exercise Science at George Washington University where he realized its potential to enhance the health and performance of his SEAL teammates. In 2021, he left a lucrative private sector career to pursue a PhD in Exercise Science at the esteemed University of South Carolina. Under Dr. Shawn Arent's mentorship, Blaine conducts research focusing on optimizing health and performance for military and first-responders. His ultimate goal is to contribute to the development and application of this science, ensuring both mission success and service member health and safety go hand in hand.
