Gianna Mastrofini, MS, is entering her fourth year of the PhD program at The University of South Carolina in the Sport Science Lab. With a strong foundation in exercise science, she earned her Master of Science degree from The University of South Florida. During this time, Gianna's primary focus was optimizing exercise variables to enhance adherence. Simultaneously, she served as a research coordinator for Dr. Campbell, delving into research focused on physique enhancement. Now, she works with Dr. Arent, engaging in groundbreaking work involving nutritional, training, and supplement interventions to optimize physical and cognitive performance and maintain readiness in athletes and tactical personnel. Gianna's enthusiasm extends beyond the laboratory into the realm of science communication, which she finds particularly fulfilling. Overall, Gianna's multifaceted background and her passion for scientific exploration, performance optimization, and science communication position her as a promising researcher to make a significant impact in this field.
