PhD Student
University of Kansas
My name is Minh Nguyen, and I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a PhD student at the Jayhawk Athletic Performance Lab at the University of Kansas. I was born and raised Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. My academic journey began at Western Michigan University, where I earned my BS in Construction Engineering in 2015. Upon graduating, I discovered a passion for strength and conditioning. My brother and I co-founded a youth athletic strength and conditioning center in Vietnam.
After a few years working in the industry, I decided to continue my educational pursuits and earned my MS in Exercise Science from the University of Central Missouri. Currently, I am deeply engrossed in studying every facet of soccer performance while continuing to develop holistic training approaches that not only enhance an athlete's prowess in their sport but also optimize their overall physical development, especially among youth athletes.
