Minyoung Kwak is a first year doctoral student at the University of Kentucky within the Kinesiology and Health Promotion Department with a specialization in Exercise Physiology. He received his BS (2016) degree in Sports Medicine from Kyunghee University in South Korea and received his first master's (2021) degree in Athletic Training from the Bridgewater State University, MA, and second master's (2023) in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining the graduate program in the US, he worked both as a Strength and Conditioning coach and Athletic Trainer for the Korean National Ice Hockey team and participated in 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. Currently, he is under the mentorship of Dr. Haley Bergstrom, and his research interests include non-invasive assessments of neuromuscular fatigue responses. His primary research agenda is to investigate the effect of perception of effort on resistance exercise.
