Ben Mendelson, MS, CSCS, RSCC is a doctoral student in the PhD Health Sciences program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) where his studies center on exercise physiology and human performance. Ben has had the opportunity to present at Regional NSCA events and his emerging research agenda supports the advancement and knowledge related to preparation and recovery of human performance with an emphasis on cardiovascular and musculoskeletal health and resistance to fatigue. More specifically, his agenda seeks to inform training and recovery practices of occupational athletes through the utilization of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal performance measures, such as aerobic capacity, muscular strength and power, and critical work rates relating to physiological work capacity. Ben has previously served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Women’s Tennis and Men’s Baseball teams at UWM, and the Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Milwaukee Brewers.
